Ordering
When am I charged for my order?
Your payment is charged at the time of your order.
What are your payment options?
We accept Credit Cards, and PayPal.
Do you do phone orders?
We do not take phone orders. All orders needs to be placed online.
Do you guys do custom orders?
We no longer accept custom orders. This is due to the length of time we take to design a sheath. We put a lot of time and effort into design each one of our sheaths, even the simple ones. Each sheath model can take hours to draft a template, followed by multiple prototypes to finalize. There are also some designs that require special jigs and tooling in order to manufacture certain parts. The amount of time involved with designing and building a sheath is just not worth it for "one-off" custom orders.
Can I change something on my order after its been placed?
Yep, sure can. Just send an email with what you would like to change or add. If its an option with an added cost, we will send over a PayPal Payment Request (no account is needed), and you can pay by credit card. We will then make the change to your order, and reply back to confirm that your order has been changed. Just be sure to let us know of any changes you would like as soon as possible.
Can I cancel my order?
Yep, not a problem. Just let us know as soon as possible.
Can I return an item?
Any of our products can be returned for a refund if returned within 14 days, in unused condition. Items from The Depot are non-returnable. Please contact us to arrange the return. When we receive the item(s) back, we will refund the cost of the item(s) back to your card. We do not refund the original shipping cost to you. You are responsible for the shipping charges to return the item back to us.
Do you do kydex sheaths?
At this time we do not offer any kydex sheaths, but possibly in the future.

What are your shipping options?
We use the US Postal Service (USPS) for our shipping, both Domestic and International.
Can I get a shipping estimate?
Yes, when you place an item in the shopping cart, you can get a shipping estimate on the shopping cart page by entering in your general location info (state,city, postal code).
Do you ship internationally?
Yes we do. We ship orders via USPS First Class International, and USPS Priority International. You will find tracking information with the custom order has is provided when your order ships. Please note that this usually tracks the package up until it reaches customs in your home country. Often your country's delivery service will use this custom number to track your package within their system. You can try entering this number into their system to see if there is any tracking information from them after it has reached customs.

Do you have a warranty?
Yes, we have a Lifetime Guarantee on all of our products. You can find more information HERE.
Can I use a different knife in the sheath it was intended for?
We do not recommend using other knives in our sheaths than what they were designed for. Our sheaths are form fitted to the specific knife, and using a different knife in the sheath will likely end up being a very poor fit, and potentially damage the sheath. Its not as simple as matching the length and width of a knife blade. Its like handgun holsters, you cant expect to get a functional fit if you shove a Glock into a 1911 holster. The warranty is null and void if the sheath is damaged by using another knife in the sheath. We will NOT entertain any "would this fit?" requests.
What thickness of leather do you use?
We use 9-10oz leather for our sheaths, and 7oz leather for pouches and firesteel loops.
Ok...what the hell do "oz's" mean?
Ounces are the unit of measure of thickness used in the leather industry. 1oz = 1/64 inch = .016 inch
Why is there a scar on my sheath?
Scars are common on every leather hide. These scars can be from anything from bug bites, to scratches from a cattle fence. We cut around the big obnoxious scars, but we will sometimes leave the small ones. Scars are part of leather's natural beauty, and it just reminds us that this came from a living breathing animal, and not off a fabric roll.
I lost a screw for my sheath, can I get a replacement?
Yep sure can, just let us know what you need and we'll send it out ASAP.
Will any of the interior mounting rivets or snaps scratch my knife?
Nope. Our rivets are compressed below the surface of the leather, keeping them from making contact with the knife. Our button snaps that are set in the interior of the sheath are counter-bored into the leather, and the snaps are specially coated with a rubber compound to keep them from scratching your knife.
Aren't leather sheaths heavy compared to kydex?
Not by any significant amount, they are very similar in weight. We are talking a difference in a few ounces.
Do you finish the inside of the sheath?
Yes we apply an oil and beeswax mixture to the interior of the sheath to keep it from harboring moisture which could potentially cause rust on your knife.
