This adapter bolts to the back of your Pancake style kydex sheath, and allows you to carry your sheath with multiple belt attachment options. All the necessary mounting hardware is included. Available in 5 sizes, which cover a wide array of sheath sizes.

Adapter Sizing

To find the correct adapter for your sheath, locate the eyelets on your sheath in which you want to attach the adapter, and measure the distance from Center to Center of the eyelets (see image above). This measurement is for the 2 slotted mounting holes on the bottom of the kydex adapter.

Extra Small Adapter - 1.43" to 1.9" (36mm to 48mm)

Small Adapter - 1.75" to 2.25" (45mm to 57mm)

Medium Adapter - 2.06" to 2.56" (52mm to 65mm)

Large Adapter - 2.31" to 2.81" (58mm to 71mm)

Extra Large Adapter - 2.62" to 3.10" (66mm to 78mm)

Overall, I think it is a well made product, and will suit my needs. I did have two problems with it though. The first was just an incovenince. The flat piece of leather that secures the ring to the adapter plate was a pain to bend and get the holes aligned. It took several tries to make it happen. The good news is that it a one-and-done procedure. The other one may prove to be irritating over the long run, and that is the noise made when the D-ring hits the end of the adapter plate. Something could have been done to stop/minimize this.

I purchased this belt loop adapter for my Esee 5 stock kydex sheath. I disliked how high the knife handle sat in the stock sheath, but this piece of equipment causes the pommel of the knife to ride below the belt line, a much more comfortable location for both carrying and drawing the tool. Fit and finish is outstanding. The belt loop sheath adapter installs in minutes with included hardware. Get a little thread locker, and you’ll be good to go.
